VINTAGE “EGG” AQUATRON VX-33A AM/FM 8 TRACK TAPE PLAYER
This is an Aquatron VX-33a with field effect transistors. It’s an 8 track stereo tape player with an AM/FM multiplex radio. All parts are original to the unit. The radio works fine. The volume, balance and tone sliders work. The 8-track tape channel lights go on when TAPE is selected but when a tape is put in it makes a mechanical noise and audio static but there is no sound (I don’t know if the tape that I used is any good though, so who knows). The antenna is in good condition. The case has a chip in the cabinet on the top center (see photo) and some scuffs and scratches. The dial light comes on when it’s button is pushed. The battery compartment is clean, no corrosion. There are jacks to attach additional speakers and headphones.
